Dina was born in Forest Hills Queens and raised there. But, she relocated from Queens to Dix Hills Long Island before the end of her senior year in high school. Her sister is younger of Gregory as well as an older brother, named Evan. At the age of 9 up to 16, she started working in the entertainment business by modelling. Ron Stetson was her teacher at The Neighborhood Playhouse where she started studying Sanford Meisner's acting methods for about three years. Others who have received this training are Sandra Bullock, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton, and many others. Her first role was in the soap opera Beverly Hills, 90210, in which she had to relocate away from Los Angeles. Her first role was in Johnny Mnemonic. She did all the stunts of the movie, and it helped establish her as an athletic actress. She was also represented by Matt LeBlanc, so through her talent agent, she was able to secure a regular spot on Friends.
